A hotly debated topic in Vietnam's national economic development is the Long Thanh International Airport project ("LTA"). There is growing interest in the development of an aerotropolis economically driven concept around LTA and other National Gateway Airports vital to the economic engine of Vietnam. The Seminar is organized by Vietnam's Planning & Development Institute ("PDI"), sponsored by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations ("VUSTA") and the appointed Seminar coordinator, Emerging Asia Insights and Consulting ("EAIC").
The Sustainable Development of National Gateway Airports in Vietnam Seminar will provide a public forum for decision makers and stakeholders, domestic and international, to help shape policy, principles, priorities for the strategic roadmap for Airport economic development for the 2021 - 2030 period with vision to 2050.
The Seminar will be followed by the publication of a non-partisan report to be publicly disseminated and communicated to relevant committees and commissions of the government administrative, legislative and Party committees, in preparation for a related Parliamentary decision in late October. The conclusion of the Seminar, knowledge and recommendations will be disseminated to the government, government ministries/agencies and parliament decision makers and to the public via the media for consensus building and stakeholder alignment.
